The objective of the group is to correlate the knowledge in physical metallurgy with the processing of metallic alloys (Al, Ti, Cu , stainless steels). The research lines englobe: the study of severe plastic deformation and deformation at cryogenic temperatures, the process - crystallographic texture relationship, high temperature behavior of steels for the petrochemical industry, constitutive behavior of phase transformation induced plasticity, production of heterostructured materials and numeric simulation of mechanical processing.
